About the Role

As a Product Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in:

Designing and developing new applications and systems to meet business requirements.
Analyzing business or system data to enhance your understanding of the product line environment.
Contributing to solution design documentation for new and existing products and systems.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for data engineering, a strong background in systems analysis, and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Experience & Requirements

✔ Experience:

At least 6 years of proven experience in Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Warehousing, Data Transformation, or Systems Analysis, paired with a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification.
OR 6-8 years of experience in Management Information Systems or Systems Analysis.

✔ Skills & Experience:

Relational data warehouse experience (SQL Server, Oracle) and tools for ETL and orchestration.
Knowledge of cloud environments and experience with AWS technologies is a plus.
Experience with data modelling and data analysis.
Proven track record in mentorship and quality assurance.
Experience in testing methodologies and leading the work of others.

Preferred Skills

✔ Technical:

Experience in cloud data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and data architecture.
Familiarity with the banking business model and best practices in Quality Assurance.

✔ Certifications:

A degree in Data Engineering or related field.
Certification in Data Warehousing.

Required Knowledge

✔ Technical Knowledge:

IT systems development (SDLC), ETL processes, relational database systems, and cloud data warehousing.
Standards, governance, and quality assurance processes.

✔ Leadership Knowledge:

Leadership principles, people management, and mentorship best practices.
