💼 Role Overview: Production Engineer

As a Production Engineer at Greif, you will lead a team of setters who manage and optimize blow moulding processes and ancillary equipment. This role combines technical knowledge, operational efficiency, and leadership to ensure the production of high-quality plastic containers in the most cost-effective way.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and setup of blow moulding and ancillary equipment.

• Ensure setup quality and adherence to safety protocols.

• Diagnose tool setup and maintenance issues; recommend improvements.

• Train both junior and senior setters on proper tool setting methods.

• Monitor, evaluate, and improve tool changeover processes.

• Conduct monthly performance reviews and determine staffing/overtime needs.

• Approve updates to product and mould drawings using CAD.

• Enforce compliance with internal maintenance procedures.

📚 Education & Experience

Required:

• Degree: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

• Experience:

  • 5+ years in HDPE blow moulding

  • 3+ years using CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia, Solid Edge)

Skills:

• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)

• SPC and automated QC data recording tools

• Deep understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and blow moulding

• Competency in project management and process optimization

• Strong leadership and analytical problem-solving abilities
