Job Overview

Kimberly-Clark is looking for two dedicated Production Operators (Level 3 – MOP Operators) to join our Cape Town Epping team. In this role, you will be an essential member of the shift team, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping. You will operate in a culture of continuous improvement, driving excellence in manufacturing and contributing to Kimberly-Clark’s mission of making life better for people globally.

Responsibilities

⚙️ Operate MOP Equipment: Manufacture products according to specifications and ensure quality compliance.

🧪 Quality Control: Take and check samples regularly, take corrective actions if product is out of specification.

📊 Data Management: Enter data on MES system, review statistical data, and monitor process efficiency.

🔄 Continuous Improvement: Apply PDCA methodology, optimize machine performance, and reduce waste.

🛠️ Maintenance Participation: Support sector repairs and improvements, report required maintenance to team leader.

📢 Shift Communication: Ensure smooth handovers, report process changes, repairs, and material issues.

✅ Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

📈 Performance Monitoring: Track and optimize asset performance, quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

🎓 Minimum Grade 12 and N4 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

🏭 3 years’ experience operating high-speed production equipment OR 5 years in diaper/femcare/pants production with proven KPI delivery.

🏅 MOP Competency: 3–6 months experience signed off by L&D with Portfolio of Evidence.

💻 Digital Literacy: MES, OSI PI, PASS systems experience.

🔧 Continuous Improvement: Minimum white/blue belt in Six Sigma.

📑 Ability to work under pressure, adhere to standards, and communicate effectively with teams.
