🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, holistic nursing care in line with clinical guidelines and patient needs

• Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team to ensure patient safety and comfort

• Maintain accurate, comprehensive nursing documentation

• Assist in identifying and managing clinical risks

• Promote a nurturing and compassionate environment for young patients and their families

• Create and support a learning environment that encourages staff growth and development

• Accurately chart and manage medical stock and equipment

🎓 Minimum Requirements

Essential Education:

• Diploma in General Nursing OR

• 4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing

Preferred Education (Highly Advantageous):

• Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery

• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Pediatric Care, Emergency Care, Critical Care, Perioperative Nursing), if applying to a specialist unit

Experience:

• Minimum: Newly qualified nurses welcome

• Preferred: Experience in pediatrics or a related specialized unit

💡 Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in patient assessment and pediatric-specific nursing care

• Skilled in developing and modifying nursing care plans

• Knowledge of pharmacology, infection control, and nursing legislation

• Strong understanding of scientific nursing principles and clinical procedures

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training required; PALS, ACLS, or ATLS training is an added advantage

• Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and nursing record-keeping software
