The Professional Nurse will work collaboratively within a multi-professional healthcare team to deliver safe, comprehensive, and high-quality nursing care in line with Scope of Practice regulations.

The role also includes coordinating nursing activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a positive patient experience.


๐ŸŽฏ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

  • Identify, prevent, and manage clinical and operational risks to ensure patient safety

  • Promote a positive patient experience through a therapeutic and supportive environment

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential nursing records

  • Contribute to a learning environment that supports staff development and competence

  • Ensure accurate charting and control of all utilised stock and equipment


๐ŸŽ“ QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse OR

  • 4-year Nursing Diploma OR Bachelor of Nursing

  • Advantageous:

    • Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery

    • Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Critical Care, Emergency Care, Peri-operative Nursing for specialist units)

Experience

  • No minimum experience required

  • Newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply

Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic Life Support (ACLS, ATLS, PALS for specialised units)

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

  • Nursing care planning and patient assessment

  • Infection prevention and control

  • Nursing processes, procedures, and record keeping

  • Pharmacology knowledge

  • Understanding of relevant nursing legislation

  • Risk identification and scientific nursing principles
