The Project Handover Engineer will be based in Cape Town, working across Mechanical, Electrical, and ELV systems, with the exciting opportunity to support projects in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia (KSA) remotely. The role involves preparing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, asset registers, and system documentation to ensure smooth project handovers and high-quality delivery for clients.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Develop O&M manuals for Mechanical, Electrical, and ELV systems according to project and client requirements.

• Collate data sheets, technical submittals, and schematics for inclusion in documentation.

• Coordinate with sub-contractors and commissioning teams to establish operational, maintenance, and fault-finding procedures.

• Review and verify technical drawings, testing documents, warranties, and spare parts for accuracy and completeness.

• Gather and organize asset-related data to produce high-quality asset registers.

• Ensure technical content is consistent, compliant with international standards, and aligns with project specifications.

• Support project teams in achieving seamless handovers and maintaining client satisfaction.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Building Services Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in O&M manual preparation, technical reporting, and asset register development.

• Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, and ELV systems including: HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Power, Lighting Control, Fire Alarm, ICT, Central Battery, and Specialist Systems.

• Experience with construction documentation, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Knowledge of UAE, KSA, and international standards (e.g., CIBSE, NFPA) is highly advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects remotely.
