Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in pension and provident systems? YD Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Intermediate Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg.

This contract role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact IT projects in the financial services sector, focusing on pension and provident systems. As a pivotal team member, you will manage project execution, ensure successful delivery, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee complex IT projects specifically related to pension and provident systems.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Coordinate project resources, activities, and deliverables across functional teams.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to key stakeholders and executives.

  • Identify potential risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

  • Resolve project issues promptly to minimize impact on timelines and outcomes.

  • Mentor, guide, and support project team members to enhance performance and collaboration.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the IT industry.

  • Hands-on experience working on pension and provident fund projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within IT.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).

Desirable:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

  • Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Familiarity with pension and provident fund regulations and systems.
