🎯 Job Summary

Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring delivery aligns with Rand Water’s strategic objectives. You will oversee project time, costs, quality, risk, and stakeholder engagement to guarantee successful project outcomes.

📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of multi-projects including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.

  • Ensure projects minimize environmental impact and maximize preferential procurement participation.

  • Influence and take accountability for Capital Programme execution.

  • Schedule resources effectively and assess divisional capacity for project delivery.

  • Coordinate project activities across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards in water infrastructure.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

  • Formal engineering qualification (BTech, BSc/BEng degree).

  • 5+ years project management experience, preferably in the water industry.

  • Professional registration or eligibility with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

  • Project Management Qualification or Professional Certification (Diploma, Degree, PMP) advantageous.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 preferred.

  • Advanced Management Programme qualification is an advantage.

🛠️ Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced proficiency in project management software (SAP Project Systems, Enterprise PM Tools, MS Excel).

  • Strong understanding of contract management, project monitoring, and risk management.

  • Familiarity with water industry legislation and CIDB regulations.

  • Excellent decision-making, coordination, and leadership skills.

  • Strong report writing, interpersonal, analytical, and communication abilities.

  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
