🧾 Key Responsibilities

As a Project Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing various construction projects within the Retail Network Development Department. Your daily tasks will include:

• Project Supervision: Oversee all aspects of building construction, including New-To-Industry, rebranding, and refresh projects.

• Collaboration with Consultants: Work closely with architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors to ensure designs meet Sasol’s standards.

• Cost Management: Assist with preparing cost estimates and managing capital expenditures to ensure cost savings while maintaining quality.

• Construction Approval: Ensure all plans are submitted to local authorities for approval, following up to ensure timely approvals.

• Site Management: Supervise demolition, construction, and subcontractor activities, ensuring all works comply with design specifications and quality standards.

• Procurement Coordination: Facilitate procurement processes, ensuring the timely availability of materials and services for projects.

• Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, prepare regular updates on timelines, and provide the Manager with detailed reports.

• Safety Management: Ensure the highest safety practices are adhered to on all construction sites, following Sasol’s SHERQ policies.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• BSc/BTech in Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction field

Experience:

• A minimum of 6+ years experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.

Key Skills:

• Strong project management skills, with an ability to coordinate and oversee various aspects of construction projects.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

• Sound knowledge of safety standards and the ability to enforce safety policies on construction sites.

• Proficient in project tracking and reporting tools to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
