Job Overview 🛠️

As a Quality Assurance/Controller at PepsiCo’s Brits Bakery, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality and food safety standards. You will support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety System, conduct inspections, and verify critical control points to ensure compliance. Additionally, you will analyze data, investigate quality issues, and train employees on quality standards and best practices.


Key Responsibilities ✔️

  • Verify Critical Control Points: Ensure that all critical control points in the production process are being monitored and maintained.
  • Plant Hygiene Inspections: Conduct regular hygiene inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Inline Quality Control: Perform inline QC checks, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications.
  • Data Analysis & Record Keeping: Analyze, compute, and accurately record data related to quality control activities.
  • Laboratory Hygiene & Safety: Ensure adherence to laboratory hygiene and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Training & Development: Train employees on quality standards, food safety practices, and best practices to maintain high-quality production.
  • Issue Investigation & Resolution: Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues or customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications 🎓

  • Education:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
    • A Quality Qualification is preferred (e.g., in Food Safety, Quality Control, or a related field).
  • Experience:

    • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a quality control or food safety role.
    • Experience in the food production industry or a similar sector will be an advantage.
  • Skills:

    • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems and software for data recording and analysis.
    • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure precision in every aspect of quality control.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues quickly.
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills to train staff and resolve customer complaints effectively.
