Premier South Africa is offering an exciting internship opportunity at our East London Mill for final-year Biotechnology students seeking workplace exposure in Quality Control and Assurance.

This role provides hands-on learning in food safety, laboratory processes, and manufacturing quality standards. Interns will gain exposure to:

• Laboratory testing and quality control inspections.

• Food safety reporting and managing deviations.

• Testing raw materials, in-process products, and final goods before release.

• Participation in INVOCOMS meetings and site food safety culture plans.

• Capturing test data on LIMS and issuing Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

🎯 Qualification & Eligibility

📚 Education:

• Grade 12 / Matric.

• Final-year student in National Diploma: Biotechnology.

📑 Requirements:

• Tertiary logbook outlining required exposure and learning activities.

• Basic understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Knowledge of ISO 17025 will be an advantage.
