📖 Job Overview

Rheinmetall is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that all materials, components, and processes meet strict quality standards. The role involves mechanical inspections, quality assurance processes, supplier quality management, and testing of materials to maintain product excellence.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, including measurement and visual testing
• Approve incoming materials and purchased components based on specifications
• Conduct quality control checks and manage rework processes
• Review and maintain quality documentation and reports
• Implement and monitor quality processes at supplier level
• Analyse and improve quality systems and procedures
• Conduct non-destructive and destructive testing of samples
• Manage internal and external testing of materials
• Report non-conformities and ensure corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards

🎓 Qualifications

🎓 Education

• NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate) in Engineering or related field
• Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

💼 Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical inspection within manufacturing
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing (advantageous)

🧠 Skills

• Strong knowledge of measurement practices and inspection techniques
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
• Familiarity with sampling plans and materials testing
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and ethical standards
• Ability to work shifts and overtime when required
• Teamwork and willingness to learn
