🧾 JOB OVERVIEW

Barloworld Equipment is seeking a professional and service-oriented Receptionist to manage front-desk operations at its Richards Bay site.

This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring efficient switchboard management, administrative support, and a welcoming reception environment.


🧭 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond professionally to all internal and external calls via the switchboard

  • Welcome and attend to visitors in a warm and professional manner

  • Manage incoming calls and route queries accurately

  • Perform general administrative duties and reception tasks

  • Support administrative staff with overflow work such as data capturing and research

  • Maintain professional conduct and reception standards

  • Demonstrate strong self-management and accountability for performance

Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Tertiary qualification (advantageous)

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative role

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional telephone etiquette

  • Sound Microsoft Office knowledge

  • Customer service orientation

  • Attention to detail and sound judgement

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stress

  • Finance, Procurement, or SAP knowledge (advantageous)
