🧾 JOB OVERVIEW

The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors at the MetroFibre Head Office. This role is responsible for providing a professional and welcoming front-desk experience, managing incoming calls, maintaining office standards, and offering administrative support to the Regional Sales Manager and broader customer support operations team.


🧭 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and route queries appropriately

  • Record messages accurately and escalate complaints when required

  • Assist clients by responding to general enquiries and verifying ticket or profile information

  • Manage deliveries and ensure secure storage of received items

  • Support stock-taking activities when required

  • Coordinate with housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness and health & safety compliance

  • Ensure the reception and office areas remain neat, professional, and presentable

  • Open and close the office daily in line with company working hours

  • Prepare and manage documentation required for client sign-ups

  • Provide general administrative support to the Regional Sales Manager

  • Perform additional administrative duties as required

Education

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • Relevant post-matric qualification (Advantageous)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service or front-facing administrative role

Skills

  • Fluent verbal and written communication in Afrikaans and English

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Good telephone etiquette

  • Administrative accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities

  • Professional presentation and organisational skills
