AC Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Waterfront is seeking a Guest Experience Expert (Receptionist) to deliver a refined, seamless, and memorable guest journey. This role goes beyond traditional front desk duties and focuses on creating meaningful guest interactions throughout the entire stay.
Guest Experience Experts are empowered to move throughout the hotel environment, proactively assist guests, handle operational requirements, and ensure that every interaction reflects Marriottβs high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
This role is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service in a luxury hospitality environment.
β Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests professionally and manage smooth check-in and check-out experiences

Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests, and service needs

Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions

Handle operational tasks including reporting, administrative duties, and guest follow-ups

Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information at all times

Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures

Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards within guest-facing areas

Support team members and contribute to a positive guest experience across all touchpoints

Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and light lifting when required
π Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
-
No prior hospitality or receptionist experience required

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
