JOB OVERVIEW
The Regional HR and D&I Manager is responsible for delivering comprehensive Human Resources solutions across South Africa, supporting both office-based and field employees. Reporting directly to the HR Director for the MEA region, this role partners closely with leadership to implement HR strategies aligned to business objectives, with a strong emphasis on talent management, employee relations, operational excellence, and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I).
This is a senior HR business partner role within a global, matrixed organisation, requiring strong stakeholder management, operational expertise, and data-driven decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR & Business Partnering

Provide end-to-end HR support to leaders and employees across the region.

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Support leadership effectiveness, talent development, engagement, and inclusion initiatives.

Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and practices.
HR Operations & Employee Relations
-
Streamline HR operations and optimise HR systems and processes.
-
Advise managers on employment legislation, policy interpretation, and compliance matters.

Lead and manage employee relations cases, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
-
Coordinate with external legal advisors, consultants, and auditors as required.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning

Execute strategies to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent.

Partner with Talent Acquisition to meet workforce planning needs on time and within budget.

Review and approve job descriptions and role requirements.
-
Support succession planning, performance management, and retention initiatives.
Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards

Advise leaders on compensation, benefits, and HR market trends.

Administer and continuously improve benefits programs in partnership with Total Rewards.

Explain benefit plans, costs, and enrolment processes to employees.

Support employee recognition and reward programmes.
Diversity, Inclusion & Reporting

Lead or contribute to Diversity & Inclusion initiatives at regional level.

Prepare HR reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

Use HR data and analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Leverage tools such as Excel and Power BI for workforce reporting and insights.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
-
Well-rounded HR experience, preferably within multinational organisations.

Previous experience in an American industry organisational environment.

Proven experience operating in a global, matrixed structure.

Strong HR operations and business partnering background.

Demonstrated experience managing employee relations and disciplinary processes.

Proven contribution to or leadership of D&I initiatives.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organisational levels.

Strong data and reporting skills, including:

Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis)

Experience using Power BI for reporting and visualisation.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
