Are you passionate about sustainability, innovation, and technical sales? Hach, a global leader in water quality solutions, is looking for a Regional Sales Engineer to join our team and serve the Western Cape region. This role is fully remote and field-based, offering you the flexibility to work independently while making a meaningful difference.
🔧 What You’ll Do
As a Regional Sales Engineer, you’ll be the face of Hach in the Western Cape, delivering tailored solutions from our extensive water quality product portfolio. You’ll engage with key industrial and municipal clients, solve complex challenges, and drive strategic sales across diverse industries like wastewater, power, food & beverage, and oil & gas.
Your day-to-day will involve:

Managing and developing a high-performing sales territory using Salesforce CRM.

Conducting strategic client visits (10+ per week) to identify needs, propose solutions, and close deals.

Presenting accurate sales forecasts and reporting performance metrics.

Quoting, following up, and managing the full sales lifecycle.

Acting as a trusted advisor and key resource for clients across industries.
✅ What You Need to Succeed
Must-Haves:
-
5+ years of technical or instrumentation sales experience (water or analytical industries preferred).

A degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or Engineering.

Strong communication skills and business acumen.

Valid Code B driver’s license and own vehicle.

Willingness to travel and lodge away from home (2–3 nights/month).
Nice-to-Have:

Deep understanding of water treatment, wastewater, and related applications.

Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
