🩺 Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse – Cath Lab to join our advanced surgical team. You will play a critical role in providing sterile surgical support and perioperative care in a dynamic and innovative cardiac catheterisation environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Prepare sterile surgical fields and manage equipment setup for Cath lab procedures
Assist surgical teams by scrubbing during catheterisation and cardiac procedures
Maintain infection prevention protocols in all Cath lab activities
Monitor and charge for consignment stock and surgical consumables as per hospital policies
Provide holistic patient care before, during, and after procedures
Assist in regular stock takes and control of Cath lab inventory
Ensure accurate documentation and uphold the hospital’s standard of care

📘 Minimum Requirements

Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse
Theatre experience required, with Cath lab scrub experience preferred
Strong understanding of sterile techniques and theatre protocols
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and decisive in a high-pressure surgical environment
