🩺 Position Overview

Discovery Health is building a Talent Pool of Registered Nurses for its on-site clinics within corporate client environments. These professionals will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary and occupational health care services, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, and aligning with Discovery’s mission to make people healthier and protect their lives.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

Primary Health Care Duties

• Conduct physical examinations and manage acute/chronic conditions

• Provide flu vaccinations, stress screenings, ergonomic assessments, and family planning support

• Dispense medication (within legislative guidelines), manage medication inventory

• Perform diagnostic tests: HIV, pregnancy, Pap smears, BP, cholesterol, blood glucose, and more

• Facilitate virtual consultations with GPs and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed

Occupational Health Services

• Manage injury-on-duty reports, case management, incapacity assessments

• Conduct pre-employment, annual, and exit medicals

• Oversee hygiene audits and workplace health risk assessments

• Administer audiograms, vision screenings, spirometry tests

• Refer complex cases to Occupational Health GPs

• Maintain complete electronic health records and appointment systems

📘 Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing

• Occupational Health Qualification

• Valid Dispensing License

• 6–12 months of clinical experience

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

• Computer literate, with Microsoft Outlook and Teams proficiency

💡 Preferred Skills

• Expertise in Primary or Occupational Health

• Clinic setting experience

• Practice Management System familiarity

• Counselling skills are advantageous
