We invite you to apply for the position of Registered Nurse – Lesedi 2 with Fresenius Medical Care, one of the world’s leading providers of dialysis services. Key Responsibilities:
✅ Patient Admission & Treatment:
- Conduct patient admission, record and update medical and surgical history, and ensure all information is relayed to the billing department as per unit protocol.
- Obtain and verify dialysis prescriptions from treating nephrologists or physicians.
✅ Dialysis Procedures:
- Ensure machines are disinfected and correctly primed with consumables before use.
- Weigh patients, calculate dry weight, and manage fluid removal during dialysis.
- Monitor baseline vital signs and provide medication as prescribed by doctors.
✅ Patient Education & Record Keeping:
- Educate patients on renal disease, treatment options, dietary restrictions, and more.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately using Euclid and TDMS systems.
- Document all incidents to ensure compliance with medico-legal requirements.
✅ Quality and Safety Standards:
- Follow NephroCare’s strict standards on dialysis care, hygiene, and infection control.
- Ensure the safety of the clinic by maintaining a clean environment and adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
- Administer blood products as needed, following prescribed protocols.
Required Qualifications:
🔹 Educational Background: University degree or equivalent in Registered General Nursing, accredited by SANC.
🔹 Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in renal anatomy, dialysis procedures, aseptic techniques, and vital sign monitoring.
- Experience in chronic kidney disease treatment is highly desirable.
- Competent in venepuncture, CPR, and maintaining accurate records.
