SANBS is seeking a Relief Enrolled Nurse to join their donor collections team. This vital role involves the collection of safe, high-quality blood from donors, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Clinic Preparation & Closure:

Assist with clinic setup and closure to meet blood collection targets.

Ensure smooth operation of donor registration processes with a professional, friendly approach.
✅ Donor Assessment:
-
Perform basic physical checks and assessments to determine donor suitability.
-
Ensure that phlebotomy procedures are conducted safely, professionally, and in compliance with SOPs.
✅ Administrative Duties:
-
Assist with general administrative tasks related to donor collections and clinic management.

Maintain accurate records for all donor-related activities.
✅ Clinic Supervision:

Supervise clinics in line with established protocols and ensure all activities are conducted professionally.

Ensure a positive, professional experience for all donors.
Job Specific Requirements:
🚗 Driving Requirements:
-
Must hold a valid Code 8 Driver’s License and be prepared to drive company vehicles when required.

Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary based on operational needs.
⏰ Flexibility:

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and at variable hours within the prescribed limits.

The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 14kg.

Minimum Requirements:
🎓 Qualifications:

Registered Enrolled Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

Valid Code 8 Driver’s License.

Current CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain one through SANBS training).
