Job Overview
The Reservations Agent serves as the primary contact for guest booking inquiries and plays a key role in influencing customer decisions. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to convert inquiries into confirmed reservations. Key Responsibilities
- Handle all room reservation inquiries efficiently and professionally
- Convert inquiries into confirmed bookings to support revenue growth
- Respond to sales inquiries and identify new business opportunities
- Ensure all reservations are processed accurately and meet guest expectations
- Provide prompt and high-quality service aligned with Hilton brand standards
- Maintain professional communication with guests and internal teams
- Support ongoing sales efforts by identifying potential leads
Qualifications
Education
- Matric (Grade 12) required
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field (advantageous)
Experience
- Previous experience in a reservations or hospitality environment is advantageous
- Experience in customer service or call centre roles is beneficial
Skills
- Excellent communication and telephone etiquette
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good administrative and organizational skills
- Intermediate computer proficiency
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
