🧾 JOB OVERVIEW

The Reservations Support Consultant will be responsible for coordinating all administrative and operational support for the Reservations Department. This role involves handling reservations-related queries, managing correspondence, supporting reporting functions, and ensuring that service level agreements are consistently met in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


🧭 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly sales and department reports

  • Coordinate all administrative functions within the Reservations Department

  • Assist team leaders and guides with correspondence and operational queries

  • Liaise daily with Head Office regarding reservations-related communication

  • Respond to all email correspondence within stipulated business rules and timeframes

  • Ensure strict adherence to departmental SLAs

  • Manage the department’s correspondence hunt line and web support queries

  • Assist with inbound calls during peak call volumes

  • Accurately coordinate data and generate reports in line with deadlines

  • Support key account clients with enquiries, bookings, cancellations, refunds, and escalations

  • Handle STO, Travel Agent, OTA, and group booking support

  • Complete and manage comment cards accurately

  • Provide administrative support to ensure seamless department operations


🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Matric (Grade 12)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a travel services or call centre environment

Skills

  • High level of computer literacy

  • Above-average Microsoft Excel skills

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong administrative and planning ability

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and within a team
