Job Overview

The Four Seasons Hotel, The Westcliff, Johannesburg, is seeking a highly motivated and service-driven Restaurant General Manager. This role is responsible for leading the restaurant team, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining operational excellence in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the restaurant team to ensure high levels of service and employee engagement

  • Oversee restaurant operations, including front-of-house service, reservations, and guest relations

  • Ensure guest satisfaction through attention to detail, service consistency, and problem resolution

  • Collaborate with culinary and operational teams to maintain service quality and standards

  • Drive sales, monitor financial performance, and manage departmental budgets

  • Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant staff to promote career growth and operational efficiency

  • Uphold Four Seasons’ brand standards, policies, and culture in all operational aspects

  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance the guest experience


Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior restaurant or food & beverage management role in luxury hospitality

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational and operational management abilities

  • Service-minded and guest-focused, with attention to detail

  • Legal right to work in South Africa
