Job Overview

The Retail Sales Associate plays a key role in delivering world-class customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. This role involves assisting customers, driving sales performance, maintaining visual standards, and ensuring that all store policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest level of adidas customer service at all times

• Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs

• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system

• Support product flow from stockroom to sales floor when required

• Assist with ticketing, receiving, and checking stock documentation

• Implement selling techniques such as add-on sales and product education

• Maintain store visual standards and merchandise displays

• Ensure safekeeping of company assets and stock to reduce shrinkage

• Uphold housekeeping, cleanliness, and store presentation standards

• Act as a store greeter during peak trading periods

Qualifications

🎓 Education

• Matric Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent

💼 Experience

• 2–4 years’ experience in a retail sales environment

• Experience handling cash, credit, and POS systems

🧠 Skills

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Strong listening and communication abilities

• Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet targets

• High energy level and enthusiasm for retail

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong integrity and attention to store policies
