Job Overview

The Revenue Growth Manager plays a critical role in driving profitable growth across all categories and channels in South Africa. Reporting to the RGM Lead for RSA, the role is responsible for developing and executing Revenue Growth Management (RGM) strategies by leveraging data, insights, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize pricing, promotions, assortment, and trade investments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of trade marketing inputs into annual category plans

  • Drive category and channel planning through strong consumer and market insights

  • Facilitate business planning sessions to build sales quotas and annual targets

  • Recommend and influence investment across RGM levers to unlock profitable growth

  • Ensure execution excellence at point of sale across channels

  • Monitor competitor activity to identify risks and growth opportunities

  • Provide leadership within cross-category teams through actionable POS insights

  • Translate analytical insights into commercial initiatives across pricing, promotions, and portfolio

  • Track, measure, and govern RGM initiatives to ensure delivery against targets


Qualifications

🎓 Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related commercial field

💼 Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG commercial planning, category management, shopper marketing, or sales operations

  • Proven experience delivering growth through category or revenue management

  • Strong understanding of P&L statements and commercial drivers

🧠 Skills

  • Advanced analytical and financial acumen

  • Working knowledge of Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles

  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills

  • Excellent stakeholder influencing and communication skills

  • Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving ability

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions
