Job Overview

The Risk & Security Management Graduate role is designed for graduates seeking practical exposure in enterprise risk, security operations, and compliance within a large-scale distribution environment. Based at the Durban Distribution Centre, the graduate will support risk and security initiatives across the Group while gaining hands-on experience across multiple business units.

This programme builds strong foundational skills for a long-term career in risk management, security governance, and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, analysing, and documenting potential security threats and vulnerabilities

• Support the development and maintenance of risk registers and risk databases

• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of security policies, procedures, and controls

• Support daily security operations, including access management and incident monitoring

• Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

• Prepare compliance reports and supporting documentation

• Support regulatory audits, inspections, and internal reviews

• Collaborate with departments to understand and document risk profiles

• Support risk awareness training and security education initiatives

• Liaise with Customer Service and Head Office on customer-related complaints

• Assist senior risk and security professionals with project deliverables

• Support budget tracking for risk and security initiatives

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or a related field

Experience

• No prior work experience required

• Exposure to risk, compliance, security, or audit environments will be advantageous

Skills

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
