Marriott International is hiring a Rooms Division Manager for the African Pride Melrose Arch, part of the exclusive Autograph Collection®. 🚪 About the Role

Reporting directly to the Hotel Operations Manager, the Rooms Division Manager will oversee all departments within the Rooms Division, including:

  • Front Office

  • Guest Services

  • Reservations

  • Liaison with Housekeeping

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and personalized guest experiences, driving operational excellence, and maintaining Marriott’s premium brand standards.

🛎 Operational Leadership

  • Lead daily operations across rooms departments to ensure efficiency and excellence.

  • Align all guest services with the Autograph Collection’s unique ethos.

  • Implement strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

  • Enforce health and safety compliance and uphold Marriott’s standard operating procedures.

👥 Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop department heads and their teams.

  • Lead with vision and facilitate career progression within your team.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and service excellence.

🌟 Guest Experience

  • Address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism.

  • Maintain visibility within guest areas to engage and elevate the experience.

💰 Financial Oversight

  • Manage departmental budgets with a strong focus on cost control and profitability.

  • Use occupancy forecasts and P&L analysis to guide strategic decisions.

  • Boost revenue via upselling and inventory optimization.

🧹 Quality Control & Brand Compliance

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure brand and quality standards are met.

  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering for room readiness and upkeep.

📊 Strategic Involvement

  • Contribute to the broader property strategy to boost guest satisfaction and efficiency.

  • Monitor trends and competitor benchmarks to enhance the hotel’s offerings.


👤 Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Rooms Division with 2+ years in a managerial capacity

  • Industry Background: Marriott International or Autograph Collection experience highly desirable

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership and communication

    • Proficiency in PMS, Microsoft Office, and revenue tools

    • Ability to remain composed under pressure
