🚀 What You’ll Do

As a Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in protecting our people, facilities, and environment by ensuring we comply with safety regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting and supporting internal health and safety audits.

• Designing and implementing safe work procedures.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable health and safety legislation.

• Facilitating and maintaining SHE management systems (ISO-based).

• Performing and coordinating risk assessments across the site.

• Leading and supporting safety training sessions for staff.

• Participating in incident investigations and preparing detailed reports.

• Analysing trends, indicators, and performance data to enhance safety culture.

• Driving and managing BU Top Risk strategies and Roadmaps.

• Compiling monthly reports and presentations for senior leadership.

• Developing and launching internal safety campaigns as required by the group.

👤 What You’ll Bring

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid background in industrial safety along with a proactive mindset and analytical skills. Ideal candidates will have:

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in an industrial or engineering safety environment.

• Matric and currently studying (minimum 2nd/3rd year) towards a National Diploma in Safety / Health Management or NEBOSH Certification.

• SAMTRAC qualification.

• Strong working knowledge of:

  • Risk assessment methodologies.

  • Incident investigations.

  • ISO safety management systems (implementation and auditing).

• Registration as a Safety Professional with SACPCM.

• A valid driver’s license.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
