Job Overview

On the Dot is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to sell innovative delivery and logistics solutions within its specialised logistics division. This role is suited to a motivated sales professional who thrives on prospecting, relationship-building, and consistently exceeding sales targets.

The successful candidate will be based in Johannesburg, with the option to operate from Cape Town where required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct monthly visits to prospective clients

  • Generate new business through prospecting and outbound sales calls

  • Build and maintain strong, strategic client relationships

  • Understand client needs and tailor logistics solutions accordingly

  • Meet and exceed monthly budgeted sales targets

  • Grow revenue from new and existing client bases

  • Handle customer interactions professionally and resolve client complaints

  • Maintain accurate sales activity reporting and pipeline management


Qualifications

Education:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)

  • Industry-related qualification or background is beneficial

Experience:

  • 2โ€“3 yearsโ€™ sales experience, preferably in logistics or courier services

  • Valid Driverโ€™s License and own reliable vehicle

  • Knowledge of the Supply Chain and Logistics industry (advantageous)

Skills:

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities

  • Effective time management and planning skills

  • Strong business acumen and sales instincts

  • Persuasive, confident, and target-driven approach
