๐Ÿš€ Role Overview

The Sales Executive (Account Executive) will drive revenue by selling SailPoint Identity Security Solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa, leveraging partnerships with MSPs. You will manage a portfolio of named accounts across key industries such as Finance, Telco, Energy, Healthcare, and Government. This role requires a team-oriented approach, working closely with internal teams and partners to achieve sales targets and ensure customer success.


๐Ÿ”ง Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed quarterly and yearly revenue quota goals.

  • Conduct discovery calls to analyze prospectsโ€™ needs and qualify opportunities.

  • Present SailPoint solutions, comparing effectively with competitors like Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt.

  • Lead virtual teams of partner resources, presales, deal desk, professional services, and customer success.

  • Deliver superior customer experience and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Develop business plans and opportunity/territory plans for assigned accounts.

  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns targeting partners and end-users.

  • Pursue all supplied leads and ensure accurate CRM updates (Salesforce/Clari).

  • Own all aspects of the sales cycle: qualifying, demos, presentations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing.

  • Map stakeholders within key accounts and maintain relationship visibility.

  • Monitor competitors and understand product and technological strategies in the market.

  • Travel approximately 50% of the year to engage with customers and partners.

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelorโ€™s degree in IT, Business, Sales, or related field.

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in IT or cybersecurity solutions.

  • Strong understanding of identity security, cloud technologies, or enterprise IT environments.

  • Experience managing complex accounts with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to create and execute effective account and opportunity plans.
