Job Overview

As a Sales Representative – Trauma, you will be responsible for launching, promoting, and selling trauma products to Orthopaedic Surgeons. You will provide clinical support, in-service training, and hands-on demonstrations, ensuring the correct application of products in your territory. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will also monitor competitor activity, generate insights, and help shape strategic marketing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute quarterly business plans to exceed sales targets

  • Maintain a disciplined calling pattern with theatre and in-room appointments

  • Conduct one-on-one detailing, workshops, in-service training, and practical demonstrations

  • Provide real-time technical support in theatres and wards

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity

  • Identify new users, indications, and opportunities

  • Keep accurate client call records and submit monthly reports

  • Participate in quarterly activity reviews in line with business cycles


Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education

  • Matric + Degree within Faculty of Health Sciences (required)

  • Physiotherapist or Biokineticist qualification preferred

💼 Experience

  • Minimum 2 years supporting Orthopaedic cases in theatre

  • Experience in Trauma sales preferred

  • Scrubbing experience essential

🧰 Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to deliver clinical presentations and training

  • Market insight and competitor awareness

  • High attention to detail and process adherence

  • Ability to work independently and manage territory
