We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our passionate Baking Division team in Secunda. If you are goal-oriented, service-focused, and hungry to grow your sales career in a market-leading organization, then this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Representative at RCL Foods, your mission is to grow our market share, build strong customer relationships, and ensure excellent execution in the trade. Your responsibilities will include:
📊 Sales & Target Achievement
-
Achieve or exceed monthly sales budgets and volume targets.

Create and implement monthly action plans per customer to reach goals.
-
Execute a regular calling cycle with all traders in the area.
🧾 Promotions & Merchandising
-
Implement promotional plans effectively and manage promotional activities (especially Friday and Saturday activations).
-
Drive correct merchandising, shelf management, and enhanced product visibility in all outlets.
-
Negotiate for prime shelf space and continuous product display improvement.
👥 Agent & Customer Management
-
Attend and lead weekly sales meetings (Fridays at 08:00).
-
Conduct regular co-traveling with agent sales staff to provide feedback and support.

Identify performance gaps among agents and provide actionable solutions.

Share weekly updates on sales stats, achievements, and market intelligence.
🧠 Strategic Market Development

Canvass for new business opportunities and grow client base.

Build and maintain solid relationships with store managers, regional managers, and stakeholders.

Deliver excellent customer service and provide ongoing assistance to customers and sales agents.
📝 Reporting
-
Submit detailed weekly reports covering:

Sales activity & performance
-
Competitor movements
-
Agent performance versus targets
-
Opportunities & challenges in your territory

Requirements
-
Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
-
A degree/diploma in Sales or Management – Advantageous
-
Valid EB (Code 8) driver’s license – Essential
-
1+ years of relevant experience in FMCG/retail sales – Advantageous
