We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our passionate Baking Division team in Secunda. If you are goal-oriented, service-focused, and hungry to grow your sales career in a market-leading organization, then this opportunity is for you!


Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Representative at RCL Foods, your mission is to grow our market share, build strong customer relationships, and ensure excellent execution in the trade. Your responsibilities will include:

📊 Sales & Target Achievement

  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales budgets and volume targets.

  • Create and implement monthly action plans per customer to reach goals.

  • Execute a regular calling cycle with all traders in the area.

🧾 Promotions & Merchandising

  • Implement promotional plans effectively and manage promotional activities (especially Friday and Saturday activations).

  • Drive correct merchandising, shelf management, and enhanced product visibility in all outlets.

  • Negotiate for prime shelf space and continuous product display improvement.

👥 Agent & Customer Management

  • Attend and lead weekly sales meetings (Fridays at 08:00).

  • Conduct regular co-traveling with agent sales staff to provide feedback and support.

  • Identify performance gaps among agents and provide actionable solutions.

  • Share weekly updates on sales stats, achievements, and market intelligence.

🧠 Strategic Market Development

  • Canvass for new business opportunities and grow client base.

  • Build and maintain solid relationships with store managers, regional managers, and stakeholders.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide ongoing assistance to customers and sales agents.

📝 Reporting

  • Submit detailed weekly reports covering:

    • Sales activity & performance

    • Competitor movements

    • Agent performance versus targets

    • Opportunities & challenges in your territory


Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)Essential

  • A degree/diploma in Sales or ManagementAdvantageous

  • Valid EB (Code 8) driver’s licenseEssential

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in FMCG/retail sales – Advantageous
