Job Overview
The Finance TVET Internship forms part of SASSAโs Work Integrated Learning Programme and is designed for TVET college learners who have completed their N6 qualification in Financial Accounting. The internship provides structured workplace exposure to allow candidates to complete their qualification requirements while gaining practical experience within a public sector finance environment.
Responsibilities

Assist with basic financial administration and record keeping

Support finance teams with data capturing and document management

Assist in budget tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Maintain accurate and compliant financial records

Adhere to public sector finance policies and procedures

Support supervisors with ad-hoc finance-related tasks
Qualifications
Education
-
N6 National Certificate or statement of results in Financial Accounting
Experience
-
No prior work experience required

Must require 6โ18 months workplace exposure to complete qualification
Skills

Basic understanding of financial principles

Attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Computer literacy (MS Excel advantageous)

Good communication and organisational skills

Ability to work in a structured, regulated environment
