🎯 Role Overview

SPARK Riversands seeks a Grade 4–6 Natural Sciences and Technology (NST) & Social Sciences (SS) Teacher for 2025. The educator will foster scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and social awareness in learners using project-based learning, hands-on methods, and modern teaching strategies.

This is a temporary post ideal for a science-minded teacher passionate about shaping young minds in the Intermediate Phase.

📝 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Natural and Social Sciences lessons aligned with CAPS

• Use hands-on experiments, multimedia, and project-based learning

• Evaluate learners through quizzes, projects, and formal assessments

• Promote critical thinking, global citizenship, and inquiry skills

• Support and differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs

• Foster a safe and respectful classroom culture

• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents/guardians

• Maintain accurate records on performance, attendance, and behaviour

• Support the implementation of SPARK’s core values and school vision

✅ Minimum Requirements

• Education: B.Ed or PGCE with Intermediate Phase Sciences focus

• Registration: SACE-registered (or in process)

• Experience: Prior experience in teaching NST or SS at primary/intermediate level preferred

• Language: Fluent in English

• Clearance: Clean criminal background check
