Job Description:
As a Scientist/Postdoc at MDC, you will work at the intersection of cutting-edge scientific research, focusing on better understanding protein synthesis in three-dimensional, physiologically relevant environments. This role involves using genome editing, synthetic biology, and single-cell activity-based screening techniques. You will play an integral part in pioneering new approaches in cell biology and molecular research.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop novel methods for understanding protein synthesis through genome editing, degron approaches, and synthetic biology.

Characterize engineered cells using molecular biology assays and flow cytometry.

Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate new methods into ongoing research workflows.

Analyze and interpret complex data and contribute to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Engage in industry collaborations and contribute to research discussions within the global scientific community.
Requirements:

PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture, iPSCs, and genome editing techniques.

Strong background in molecular biology techniques and next-generation sequencing.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Previous experience in academic and/or industry-based research is advantageous.
