Job Description:
As a Scientist/Postdoc at MDC, you will work at the intersection of cutting-edge scientific research, focusing on better understanding protein synthesis in three-dimensional, physiologically relevant environments. This role involves using genome editing, synthetic biology, and single-cell activity-based screening techniques. You will play an integral part in pioneering new approaches in cell biology and molecular research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop novel methods for understanding protein synthesis through genome editing, degron approaches, and synthetic biology.

• Characterize engineered cells using molecular biology assays and flow cytometry.

• Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate new methods into ongoing research workflows.

• Analyze and interpret complex data and contribute to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

• Engage in industry collaborations and contribute to research discussions within the global scientific community.

Requirements:

• PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

• Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture, iPSCs, and genome editing techniques.

• Strong background in molecular biology techniques and next-generation sequencing.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Previous experience in academic and/or industry-based research is advantageous.
