The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is offering an exciting 24-month graduate internship in Supply Chain Management (SCM) for 2025. This programme is designed for unemployed graduates who are passionate about developing a career in logistics, procurement, and supply chain management. The ideal candidate for this internship is a South African citizen who meets the following criteria:

βœ”οΈ Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
βœ”οΈ National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
βœ”οΈ Unemployed and have never participated in any previous internship programme.
βœ”οΈ Passionate about working in public sector supply chain management
βœ”οΈ Strong administrative and communication skills
βœ”οΈ A desire to learn and develop professionally in procurement and supply chain management.


πŸ… Key Responsibilities

As an intern in the Supply Chain Management department, your key responsibilities will include:

πŸ”Ή Contract Management: Assist with managing procurement contracts and ensuring they comply with public sector regulations, such as the PFMA (Public Finance Management Act), PPPFA, and BBBEE.
πŸ”Ή Tender Evaluation: Support the team in the evaluation of tenders, ensuring all requirements are met and processes are followed.
πŸ”Ή Procurement Support: Help process purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure all steps in the procurement cycle are executed smoothly.
πŸ”Ή Document Management: Maintain accurate records of contracts, invoices, and purchase orders, ensuring they are stored according to ISO standards.
πŸ”Ή Administrative Assistance: Provide general administrative support to the SCM unit, ensuring the smooth functioning of the department.
πŸ”Ή Issue Resolution: Assist with resolving any issues in the supply chain, from delivery discrepancies to administrative delays.
