Role Overview 🖥️
Moyo is looking for a Senior Banking Business and System Analyst to join our experienced team. This key role involves working closely with stakeholders to analyze and optimize banking systems. As a senior analyst, you will play a pivotal role in identifying system requirements, gathering detailed specifications, and ensuring that new systems are effectively integrated with existing banking infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and IT developers, ensuring that technical solutions meet the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities 📋
- System Analysis: Identify and document system requirements, ensuring they align with business needs.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and refine system features.
- Collaboration with IT: Partner with IT and development teams to create and optimize systems, ensuring smooth integration with legacy systems.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for system interfaces, ensuring that both business and technical teams are aligned.
- System Testing: Conduct validation and testing to ensure system changes meet specifications.
- Training & Support: Provide training to users and offer ongoing support post-implementation.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve business processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
- Project Management: Ensure projects are completed within budget and deadlines. Manage and track progress across multiple initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that systems comply with banking regulations such as Basel III, KYC/AML, and other industry standards.
Skills and Qualifications 🎯
- Education: A tertiary degree, diploma, or certification in IT, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience as a Business or System Analyst, ideally within the banking sector.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of SQL, process documentation, and system integration.
- Banking Knowledge: A strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and relationship banking operations. Familiarity with financial products, risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements is essential.
- Tools and Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies, tools like Jira, Confluence, and BPMN. Knowledge of PASA Certification and transactional collections is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives.
- Leadership: Experience in team leadership, with the ability to manage and motivate teams throughout the project lifecycle.
