Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Senior Bookkeeper & Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing the company’s financial records, processing transactions accurately, and supporting smooth accounting operations. If you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and experience with bookkeeping software, this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities

Accurately record and manage daily financial transactions using Zoho and MoneyWorks accounting software.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including timely invoicing and supplier payments.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts regularly.

Assist with payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and statutory payments.

Prepare detailed financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.

Maintain precise expense tracking and oversee petty cash management.

Support budget preparation and contribute to financial forecasting activities.

Collaborate with operations teams using ServiceM8 to track job costs and billing.

Ensure financial records are well-maintained and prepared for audits.
Requirements
-
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.

Proficient with bookkeeping/accounting software such as Zoho, MoneyWorks, and preferably ServiceM8.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and payroll processing.

Exceptional attention to detail with excellent accuracy in data entry and financial records.

Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for advanced financial reporting.
Preferred Skills

Experience in the construction or home improvement industry is a definite advantage.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

Knowledge of inventory management systems is beneficial.
