Key Responsibilities:

🛍️ Range Building & Procurement

  • Procure and range build appropriate product ranges in line with the company’s strategy, paying close attention to trading opportunities.
  • Source and procure a balanced selection of merchandise to meet the demands of the market.

📈 Strategic Planning & Analysis

  • Collaborate closely with planners to analyze past sales data, market trends, and brand initiatives to plan future buying strategies.
  • Formulate departmental strategies that maximize sales and secure stock in a timely manner to support those strategies.

💼 Vendor & Supplier Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective negotiation and delivery of financial business KPIs.
  • Contribute to the growth and profitability of the business by implementing innovative product ideas.

🌍 Local & International Buying Trips

  • Attend buying trips, both local and international, to source products and stay on top of global trends.

📊 Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization to ensure alignment on product strategies.
  • Foster collaboration between buying and planning functions to ensure smooth execution of product strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

🎓 Educational Background

  • A Diploma, Graduate Degree, or Post-Graduate Degree is preferred.

💼 Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Buyer in fashion retail is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the clothing retail cycle and the buying process.

🖥️ Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email. A solid understanding of retail software is advantageous.
