Senior Engineer (Contract) at Nintex – Johannesburg, South Africa

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be a key player in building our industry-leading platform, guiding teams, and ensuring technical excellence. This exciting hybrid role is based in Johannesburg on a 6-month contract.

What You Will Do:
✅ Lead and Mentor: Share your technical expertise by mentoring team members and guiding them to remove blockers.
✅ Design Solutions: Create multiple viable design and architectural approaches for solving complex technical challenges.
✅ Manage Technical Debt: Identify, tackle, and proactively manage technical debt to maintain product quality.
✅ Collaborative Leadership: Build consensus among teams, de-escalate conflicts, and maintain effective communication.
✅ Continuous Improvement: Contribute new ideas regularly to improve team performance and the product.
✅ Technical Expertise: Be a trusted resource for technical matters, guiding the team with your expertise in Node.js, React, and more.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:
✅ 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack development
✅ Proficiency in Node.js and React
✅ A strong understanding of prompt engineering is a bonus
✅ Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing large-scale projects
✅ Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
