Your Role as a Senior Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service & Workshop Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Hach’s growth by providing top-notch field service and workshop support. You will troubleshoot, perform scheduled service activities, and apply advanced engineering principles to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Your work will directly impact our mission of ensuring clean water for people worldwide.
Daily Responsibilities: ✅ Provide on-demand frontline field service support and workshop repairs. ✅ Install, calibrate, and verify proper operation of instrument systems at customer sites. ✅ Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades. ✅ Maintain and manage spare parts inventory to optimize service efficiency. ✅ Offer technical support at trade shows, sales demonstrations, and customer visits. ✅ Assist with backup service support outside of the assigned territory when required.
Who We’re Looking For:
✉ Required Qualifications & Experience: ✔️ Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience). ✔️ 5+ years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally in the Water Industry. ✔️ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. ✔️ Willingness to travel long distances and stay away from home for 2-4 nights per month. ✔️ Excellent communication and customer service skills. ✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
