  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and design revisions.

  • Liaise professionally with clients, maintaining excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Ensure all work meets technical production standards for print and digital publishing.

  • Provide conceptual direction and support to junior designers when necessary.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of typography, layout principles, and design trends.

๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications & Experience

  • โœ”๏ธ Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related discipline.

  • โœ”๏ธ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional design environment.

  • โœ”๏ธ Proven experience in a senior or lead design role.

  • โœ”๏ธ Portfolio showcasing conceptual publishing design across various formats.

๐Ÿ’ก What Ink Design Is Looking For

  • A highly creative designer with strong conceptual thinking skills.

  • Deep knowledge of publishing design, layout, and typography.

  • Ability to translate complex data and content into clear visual solutions.

  • Strong understanding of print and digital production processes.

  • Excellent professional communication skills.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a polished design aesthetic.

๐Ÿ“ Best CV Tips for This Role

  • Showcase a strong publishing portfolio front and centreโ€”this is the core requirement.

  • Include before/after examples if you improved layout, typography, or structure on past projects.

  • Highlight experience in long-form content, such as books, reports or magazines.

  • Add your software stack (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, digital publishing tools).

  • Quantify achievements (e.g., designed 200+ pages per month, reduced production errors by 30%).

  • Demonstrate conceptual thinking, not just execution.

  • Use a clean and professional layoutโ€”your CV should visually reflect your design expertise.
