Role Overview:
Position: Senior Healthcare Assistant – Wards
Location: The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle
Hours: Part-time (30 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £25,300 FTE (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 30/03/2025
In this role, you will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering high standards of care to patients on the wards. You will be responsible for providing patient-centred care, assisting the nursing team, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients, consultants, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Deliver excellent patient care in accordance with Circle Health Group policies and procedures.
✅ Assist the nursing and multidisciplinary teams in providing high-quality care to patients.
✅ Conduct clinical duties such as phlebotomy and ECG recordings.
✅ Provide support in pre-assessment environments (if applicable).
✅ Work professionally within the healthcare assistant framework, ensuring compliance with the NMC (Nursing Midwifery Council) and HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) codes of conduct.
✅ Promote a customer-focused approach, ensuring patients’ needs are met and enhancing patient satisfaction.
✅ Assist in maintaining high standards of care, continually working to enhance service delivery.
✅ Support and mentor junior healthcare assistants in their clinical development.

What We Require:
🔑 Care Certificate (essential)
🔑 Experience performing phlebotomy duties and ECG recordings
🔑 Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Health and Care) or equivalent
🔑 GCSEs in Maths and English at grades A to C (or equivalent functional skills level 2)
🔑 Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital setting
🔑 Proficiency with PCs and experience using healthcare-related software and systems
🔑 Experience in customer care, particularly in managing challenging situations
🔑 Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
