This senior-level role requires a confident IT professional who can lead helpdesk operations, resolve technical issues efficiently, and provide guidance to junior support staff. As a core member of the Global Support Team, you’ll help maintain seamless IT operations across multiple business units and geographical locations.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical escalation point for all IT Helpdesk services.

  • Manage and monitor the ITSM ticketing system, aligned with ITIL frameworks.

  • Administer Active Directory accounts and manage escalations related to infrastructure.

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot hardware/software, and document known errors.

  • Compile and manage reports: incidents, service requests, change logs, and audits.

  • Install and configure desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot network connections (LAN, WAN, VPN), printers, antivirus, and Fortinet VPN solutions.

  • Train junior staff on best practices and assist in developing SOPs.

  • Visit customer sites for hands-on technical support when required.

  • Provide ongoing end-user support and training on IT tools and software.

  • Participate in off-site meetings and represent the IT department as needed.

  • Contribute to an inclusive, customer-focused team culture and uphold company values.

  • IT system support skills with advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop, server, and networking technologies.

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

  • Professionalism, punctuality, and a commitment to customer service.

  • High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.

  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and rotating support schedules.

  • Experience in systems troubleshooting, documentation, and remote support.

  • Ability to mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric

  • Relevant IT qualification or CompTIA A+/N+ certification.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Helpdesk or Service Desk environment.

  • Hands-on experience with ticket logging, client database management, and IT infrastructure troubleshooting.

Advantageous:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology.

  • Microsoft 365, Azure, or ITIL Foundation certifications.

  • Networking and telecoms experience.
