North-West University (NWU) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in History within the Faculty of Humanities, School of Social Sciences. π Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures.

Supervise Honours, Masterβs, and PhD students.

Develop and review module content and academic materials.

Complete teaching-related administration.

Contribute to departmental and faculty-wide teaching quality initiatives.
π¬ Research & Innovation

Publish accredited articles in reputable, high-impact academic journals.

Produce scholarly book chapters and monographs.

Submit research funding applications and lead research initiatives.

Present research at academic conferences, colloquia, and workshops.

Identify and lead community-based initiatives aligned with teaching and research.

Engage in projects that contribute to societal development and academic-community partnerships.

β Minimum Requirements
π Qualifications

A PhD in History (NQF Level 10).
π Experience
-
Minimum 3 yearsβ teaching experience at a recognized tertiary institution.

Experience supervising Masterβs students.

Minimum 3 yearsβ research experience with a strong publication record.
