Job Overview
The Senior Specialist: Legal Affairs is responsible for providing legal advisory services and managing commercial legal matters within a dynamic telecommunications environment.
This role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. It is ideal for a legal professional who can balance commercial objectives with legal risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (procurement, licensing, NDAs, partnerships, etc.)
- Provide legal advice on contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Support litigation and competition law-related matters
- Assist with acquisitions, joint ventures, and infrastructure agreements
- Identify legal risks and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal governance
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business units
- Maintain and improve contract templates, policies, and legal frameworks
- Support reporting and legal documentation processes
Qualifications
Education
- LLB Degree
- Must be an admitted attorney
Experience
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- Experience in a law firm or in-house legal team
- Exposure to telecommunications, media, or technology sectors (preferred)
Skills
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of:
- Contract law

- Intellectual property
- Data protection and privacy laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
