Lead the structural design of marine infrastructure using international standards and codes (e.g., BS, Eurocode, API, PIANC).
-
Conduct static and dynamic structural analysis, including impact loads from waves and berthing operations.
-
Assess corrosion protection measures, fatigue performance, and detailing suited to harsh marine environments.
-
Collaborate with geotechnical engineers on the foundation design of piles, caissons, and gravity structures.
-
Prepare comprehensive design reports, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
-
Provide support during tendering, fabrication reviews, and on-site construction, responding to technical queries.
-
Ensure coordination across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to international projects.
What We’re Looking For:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous).
-
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in marine structural design and project delivery.
-
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards Chartership) with recognized bodies like ICE or IStructE.
-
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SACS, or equivalent).
-
Solid understanding of marine construction techniques and materials (steel, concrete, hybrid systems).
-
Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on complex international projects.
-
Exceptional technical report writing and communication skills.
