Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer within our Wastewater Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design and engineering solutions for both domestic and international wastewater projects. Your role will include:
Project Design & Development:
- 🌍 Feasibility Assessments: Conduct in-depth assessments for wastewater infrastructure projects.
- 📑 Prepare Preliminary Reports: Develop initial project reports for design and construction phases.
- 🛠️ Detailed Design: Design wastewater networks, pump stations, and treatment plants.
- 📑 Prepare Technical Specifications: Create clear and comprehensive technical documents for project procurement and execution.
- 📜 Procurement Process: Assist in the preparation and management of procurement processes for key project elements.
- 🤝 Client Liaison: Work directly with clients to ensure their needs and project goals are met.
Project Management:
- 📊 Coordinate Team Inputs: Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design and construction efforts.
- 🔄 Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of project delivery.
- 🎓 Training and Development: Participate in training to enhance your skills and knowledge of wastewater systems and processes.
- ⚙️ Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs adhere to local and international engineering standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:
🔹 Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
🔹 7+ Years of Post-Graduate Experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in the wastewater or water engineering sectors.
🔹 Experience in Wastewater Treatment Plants: Prior involvement in the design or commissioning of wastewater treatment systems is highly advantageous.
🔹 Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office packages.
🔹 Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work within a multidisciplinary and diverse team.
🔹 Project Management Skills: Experience in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing projects effectively.
🔹 Self-Starter with a “Can Do” Mindset: Proactive approach and high work standards.
🔹 Cross-Disciplinary Knowledge: While mechanical engineering is the focus, candidates with knowledge in civil, electrical, or process engineering and an interest in wastewater would be considered.
