About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Wastewater Department. This role involves working on a diverse portfolio of international and domestic wastewater projects, including:
✔️ Design and Build projects in Sub-Saharan Africa & Central Europe
✔️ World Bank & EU-funded wastewater tenders
✔️ Irish Water Design & Supervision frameworks
✔️ Severn Trent Water Design Services & Yorkshire Water AMP7
✔️ Collaborations with Tier 1 & Tier 2 Contractors in the UK
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Conduct feasibility assessments
✔️ Prepare preliminary reports and scoping investigations
✔️ Lead detailed design for wastewater networks, pump stations, and treatment plants
✔️ Develop technical specifications and contract documents
✔️ Manage procurement processes
✔️ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
✔️ Engage in client liaison and stakeholder management
✔️ Drive continuous improvement across projects
Qualifications & Experience
🔹 Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in water engineering
🔹 Minimum 7 years’ post-graduate experience (lesser experience considered for exceptional candidates)
🔹 Experience in the design and/or commissioning of wastewater treatment plants
🔹 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
🔹 Excellent communication and time management skills
🔹 Agile, “Can Do” mindset with a strong problem-solving ability
🔹 Passionate about sustainability and improving communities
